This excursion will take you back to the Middle Ages with a visit to Salvaterra de Miño Castle. The next stop is the Condado-Paradanta Cooperative in As Neves, where you will have the chance to sample requesón (whey cheese), honey and wines from the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin, products which have made the town famous.
In the afternoon, you will see the amazing pesqueiras in Arbo, unique centuries-old structures used to catch lampreys on the Miño River. This includes a visit to the Arabo Wine and Lamprey Interpretive Centre. The exciting excursion concludes at Casa Grande La Almuíña winery. Here you will can taste the wine from this part of the Condado do Tea district, part of the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin, and sample some of the district's star product, lamprey.
