Description

This is not a building but an ornamental facade made around the middle of the 18th century by the architect Clemente Fernández Sarela for purely decorative purposes. The aim was close off the square as a backdrop. It is only four metres deep. The construction is in granite masonry with slate roofs. It stands in three heights, topped by a dynamic balustrade adorned with numerous references to St. James. The recesses and projections create a chiaroscuro effect that gives the structure mobility and volume.
There are several jeweller´s on the ground floor of the building.
