Description

Visuña is a large hamlet which is divided in several districts and where, until recently, two of the mills in the area continued to operate. Today, we can only see its constructions and medieval houses with large balconies and overhead passages. The two most famous archaeological pieces of O Courel were found very close to this village, specifically in the area of Mount Cido : a hospitality table from 28 A.D. and one of the eagles which crowned the standards of the Roman legions. These pieces are made of bronze and are currently exhibited in the Lugo Archaeological Museum.
