Description

The Dique do Sino, designed by military engineer Andrés Comerma, was unveiled on August 19, 1879. It is an inverted granite mountain with a wall 145 metres long, 27 metres high and 12 metres deep. At that time it was one of the most relevant hydraulic projects in Galicia, as well as one of the largest dams of the world.
