A MIÑA VIAXE
These are the emblematic masks of the Maceda carnival. Little-known figures outside the area, but as old and fascinating as their most famous relatives, the cigarróns and peliqueiros from Verín and Laza, respectively. They all dress in a very similar way, but what distinguishes the felos at first glance are black socks, instead of white ones. Their suit is somewhat more rustic, closer to its origins. Dressing like a felo shows character and only single men can do it. They are by definition rebellious and anarchic spirits, but during Carnival, they are the law.
