A MIÑA VIAXE
The Festa do Percebe do Roncudo is held in the first fortnight of July in the town of Ponteceso (A Coruña). It is a celebration that began more than 20 years ago and was the first barnacle festival to be held in Spain. Its roots are tied to the town's economy, as barnacles have become one of the main sources of wealth in the town of Corme. The cultural value revolves around the figure of the percebeiro and adds to the culinary offerings the traditions and knowledge that revolve around a unique trade.
Starting on Friday there will be photographic exhibitions, workshops for children and charangas.
At midday on Saturday, you can pick up your portions of barnacles in the central marquee of the festival.
