The first lighthouse was built in 1864 and later renovated in the 1920s. The lighthouse tower is slightly conical and built from light grey granite.
There are currently two towers - the original old tower and a newer, more slender white one with a black band painted below the first balconies. Around the lighthouse is a recreational area where the nearby Farallóns can be observed - three islands which are included within the Relación de Espacios en Naturales.
