The exhibition explains how the Roman city of Lucus Augusti was configured, following the evolutionary process from its origins, as a camp, through the period of maximum splendour and fortification, the construction of the city walls, to its decline. This aspect is complemented with the illustration of some of the most significant manifestations of urban life in the Roman world (town planning, everyday life, leisure, religion, etc.).
