Near the church of Santa María in the village of Abadín, the Way passes close to a stand of oak and bay trees. The trees form a kind of leafy, vaulted roof that shades the path. Just beyond this, the route crosses the River Anllo, a tributary flowing into the River Miño on its right bank.
