Standing over the Ria overlooking the town of Cereixo. It is located on a small peninsula with an access bridge. With its military apperance, it has two battlemented towers with a central structure joining them; cut stone walls. On the main façade, there is a blazoned shield. The total consruction is very large.
They were erected in the 17th century, as symbols of the power of the nobles who ruled the area. Over the entrance arch, we can see the family coats of arms of the Montenegro (an easily identifiable "M"), the Bermúdez (chessboard squares), the Castro de Lemos (six circular forms), the Soutomaior (horizontal bands), the Mendoza (cross-shaped design and the image of the Hail Mary), the Figueroa (fig leaves) and the Andrade (two dragon's heads). The side wall contains the emblems of the Moscoso (a wolf's head), the Carantoña (a pair of hands), the Caamaño (a pine tree) and the Guisamonde (a tower).
