In the parish of Ponte, the Mera river, a tributary of the Deza (Ulla), falls down a slope in granite rocks with several waterfalls. The largest is 8 m high. At Rosende we will cross the river and take a track on the left that leads to the water treatment plant. There are no signposts to reach them. To go to the first waterfall, just after crossing the bridge, we will continue along the right bank of the river downstream. The waterfall can be seen next to some abandoned watermills. To get to the second one, we have to approach the Silleda wastewater treatment plant and from there take a path to the left that follows the canal of the treatment plant for approximately 200 m. To go to the third, we will follow the track along the foot of the quarry to the shooting range, following the path down to the river.
