In Renaissance and Baroque style, dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, it also conserves the magnificent Romanesque church, erected by its first Cistercian abbot in the year 1167. It stands on a Latin-cross ground plan, with three aisles and three apses. The doorway is probably the most noteworthy part of the building, with its six archivolts supported by six pairs of columns, and above, a splendid rose window.
