These mountainous saddles are generally hard to reach and populated by deciduous trees. On the Estornín saddle, oak,
sycamore, rowan, European yew, birch and chestnut trees grow. The interior is inhabited by wild mammals, including wolves, roe deer, wild boar and foxes.
