The Romaría pilgrimage in Milagres de Caión stands as one of the biggest religious celebrations in the north of Coruña province.

The Milagres de Caión Shrine becomes a site of pilgrimage for thousands of people who come to worship the Virgin Mary on these dates.

The actual date of the romaría is 8 September. On the preceding Sunday, the Virxe dos Milagres is taken in a procession from the Nosa Señora do Socorro parish church to the Shrine. On the following Sunday, the procession returning the icon to the place it will remain until next year takes place.

It is also common to see pilgrims visit the Holy Fountain, as it is widely believed to have healing powers.
