We leave the car at the pilgrims' hostel in A Armenteira and follow the route downhill. This is the old path used by the inhabitants of Ribadumia to reach the monastery of A Armenteira. There are two groups of watermills on the route: at the bottom are the Barrantes watermills and at the top are the Serén watermills.  Apart from the watermills, there are also old washing places and river areas with "potras", the stones used to ford the rivers. The path is signposted.
