The electronic nativity scene in Begonte has been on display in the José Domínguez Cultural Centre continuously since 1972. It is opened to the public on the first Saturday in December and can be visited until the last Saturday in January. The unique aspect of this nativity scene is that it is made with hand-made pieces and electronic motors that power their movement. It covers an area of 150m² and includes over 150 figures. The pieces are updated every year and are a labour of love for the locals who make them. The figures depict traditional trades: farm workers, shepherds, carpenters, fishermen, and so on.

There are many cultural activities held in connection with the nativity scene. This event makes Begonte an unmissable Christmas destination.

The adjoining room houses the Nativity Scene Museum where you can see the first motor that powered the nativity scene (1971-1972-1973), structures and pieces that were once in the display.
