Construction of the Church of Santiago was ordered in the late 12th century, to house the oldest parish in Ribadavia. Its most interesting features are the façade, with a rose window with twenty-four hollows, the arches and the Baroque tower.
The entire building is profusely decorated. Inside, we can see numerous Baroque images of considerable artistic value. The one dedicated to Saint James is especially noteworthy. It dates from the 14th century and shows the style of master Mateo.
