Located in the renaissance building that was once the old house of the Méndez Montouto lineage and reformed in 1987 to hold the Municipal Museum, this space is distributed in rooms of permanent and temporary collections. The first two floors hold temporary contemporary art exhibitions and the third floor contains the collection of the etcher Julio Prieto Nespereira, with drawings, oil paintings and watercolours. The museum has a total of 1,230 works of art including paintings, sculpture, photography and etchings from modern and contemporary times.
