To get to the start of the route, we have to get to Cerdedo and from there to Meilide. In front of the chapel, there is a stone paved road that follows the route of Padre Sarmiento. The Fumegas Pool is located in the Seixo River, which flows down from the Cando mountain range through a narrow valley into which it flows embedded, forming abundant rapids, pools and small waterfalls.  We will go upstream along the right bank of the river for about 600 metres, along a path that is well-preserved, until we reach the Fumegas Pool, where the river drops about four metres in height. At this point, the Regueira de Covaladrós flows into the river in the form of a waterfall.  The route is signposted.
