The Xubín, Lavandeira or A Freixa ravine starts in Salamonde, in the town of San Amaro, reaching the town of Cenlle where it joins the river Miño. In the final stretch, the Xubín ravine forms rapids, pools and waterfalls. The largest of the waterfalls has a 40 metre drop over granite and gneiss rocks. To get to it, we must take the N-120 between Ourense and Vigo and, when we reach Xubín, turn right at a junction to continue along a track that ends at the entrance to a privately owned, now abandoned, quarry. From there we must continue a few metres on foot to reach the waterfall.
