Description

Although there are concerts, sports tournaments and other cultural activities throughout the whole month, the town “explodes” on the big days of the Sada festivities. Many natives of this fishing village return on these dates to enjoy the best festive tradition and honour the patron saint in the procession on the 16th.
The tree-lined beach, where the famed modernist “A Terraza” building is located, is the obligatory meeting point in the afternoon of the last day of the festivities, as this is where a traditional sardine barbecue takes place. Thousands of people from all over Galicia visit to taste grilled sardines, accompanied by cornbread and wine, all free of charge.

Highlight:
Free sardine tasting among the trees of O Curruncho.
