Santiago, as the capital of Galicia, is an example of the culinary tradition and wealth of a cuisine that is admired by the quality of its ingredients that come both from sea and land, and that is always accompanied by a wide variety of local wines.
- Day 1The 3-star charming hotel Carrís Casa de la Troya, in the middle of the street "rúa da Troia", is where we will be spending these two nights. Next to the hotel an old students residence turned into a house museum recreates the student atmosphere of the 19th century in the city of Santiago. In the evening we will enjoy a tasting menu dinner at a typical tapas establishment where we can also savour an amazing selection of menus. After dinner, lodging at the hotel.
- Day 2After breakfast, in the morning we will continue discovering the flavours of Santiago, beginning with a culinary guided tour to learn the hidden aspects of the foods and places with the most commercial and culinary life. We will visit traditional grocery stores and the genuine and popular Food Market, which is at the same time a monAfter discovering the keys to the culinary culture of the old quarter and the secrets of the foods, fish, shellfish, meat, wines and cheeses, we will be ready to purchase the products that we will need for a cooking workshop to learn how to prepare the most traditional dishes, and a wine tasting session with an expert in order to learn the singularities of Galician wines. For the workshop we will have a stove and utensils available to cook two dishes under the supervision of a chef, and they will be tasted at the end of the Galician cuisine workshop. Afternoon off to discover the city. Dinner not included and lodging at hotel.
- Day 3After breakfast, we can optionally take a full day trip to one of the Galician D.O. The outing includes a chauffeur-guide and wine tasting session at a winery. End of our services.
