A MIÑA VIAXE
mailto:?subject=Content from Tourism of Galicia: CORGA DA FECHA&body=I recommend you read the information CORGA DA FECHA extracted from the Tourism of Galicia site on page https://www.turismo.gal/recurso/-/detalle/210607000191/corga-da-fecha?tp=40004330
A
Corga da Fecha, one of the highest waterfalls in Galicia, can only be seen
after heavy rainfall. The water runs into the River Calda which passes by the
Balneario de Lobios spa, where you can park your car before continuing on foot
along a track that two thousand years ago in Roman times was an important road
linking Bracara Augusta (Braga) and Asturica Augusta (Astorga).
800 metres from the start of the path, before you cross the
river, take a trail that climbs up to the left. It can’t be missed as a sign
shows the way to go which leads to a first waterfall, which is just a taster of
what is to come.
It you want to go up to the highest part, you need to climb a
steep, rocky path with places to stop at different heights so you can take in
the waterfall from different angles.
IMPORTANT: Take great care as
you ascend, especially if the ground is wet.
