Description

This museum originated from the Cabinet of Natural History, created in 1840, with collections intended for university teaching. Since 1906, when it gained the status of a museum, its heritage has seen constant growth in both quantity and quality of collections. In addition to educational activities, it has also expanded to include research and scientific dissemination activities.
