The interesting building where it is located was the old prison known as San Campio, which now houses this museum and the Naval Library. It is a centre where various notable objects of the Spanish Armada are conserved and exhibited. Some of the most significant are the remains of the famous “Magdalena” frigate which sank in 1810 in the Viveiro Estuary. In addition, you can also see a collection of different maps with notable pieces, such as the “Atlas de Tofiño”. There are also various models of all kinds of ships and of important naval battles.
