This museum, which occupies the rooms of the Casa Galega da Cultura, is the result of the donation made to the city by the writer Francisco Fernández. The collection is made up of works by artists of the same generation as the donor: Colmeiro, Laxeiro, Maside, Seoane, etc., earlier ones like Castelao and Ovidio Murguía, and later ones like Din Matamoro. Other elements like books, mementos, etc., illustrate Francisco Fernández’ career at Galicia’s service. It is very important to point out that the opening times depend on whether there are temporary exhibitions at the Casa Galega da Cultura.
