The River Parga forms part of the Parga-Ladra-Támoga protected area, which includes the hydrological network that crisscrosses A Terra Chá. When these rivers cross flat terrain like this, they tend to overflow, flooding the surrounding area. There are many alder and birch trees on its banks.
