Description

Traditional pazo. Irregular ground plan. Construction arranged on two levels. The windows are not laid out symmetrically, many of them of recent constructions. To be highlighted are two wooden galleries, in the entrance structure, one coloured green and the other red. The whole construction is in rubblework. It has a sun-dial and a shield recalling the pazo´s stately past. It is associated with the Ponce de Leon family, a surname with many connections to Galician nobility in the Rias Altas. It is also known to have belonged to another of the region´s aristocratic families at the beginning of the 18th century, Pardo de Andrade.
