The route to the waterfall begins in Mourelle, in the municipality of Vigo, just past the river. The access is signposted. The waterfall is found in the Eifonso river, 900 m from the start of the route, in a narrow canyon called O Buraco (The Hole). This river rises in the Monte das Lagoas (Mountain of the Ponds), at 450 m altitude, and flows into the Lagares river.
