The Chao waterfall is located near the village of Chao (municipality of Cerdido), on the Porto do Cabo stream, which flows into the Mestas river. To get there, we can go to the watermill and, once we have crossed the bridge, we will follow the path along the river until we reach a small dam. From here we will cross the mountain to continue along the river: the waterfall is only a few metres below the dam. The route is not signposted.
