The temporary exhibitions, devoted to recent artistic production in the most varied creative areas (plastic arts, architecture or design), are the main activities on which the centre’s scheduling is based. These are mainly self-produced thematic and collective exhibitions, of autonomous community, national and international scope. They are the foundation on which the entire stable scheduling of parallel activities is based: Audiovisual seasons of cinema, documentaries and videos, round table discussions, conferences, seminars, workshops and concerts. The “Laboratorio das Artes” educational space also has an extensive programme of educational proposals aimed at training new audiences: Children, young people, adults or professionals. Other significant proposals are the exhibitions organised in the project room (promotion of budding artists) and the Documentation Centre, with book, media and newspaper library specialising in current art, design and architecture.
