On the Way of St. James
Description
In Galicia, waterfalls have different names depending on where we are: seimeiras, cachoeiras, cadoiros, ruxidoiras... In the O Courel area they are called pincheiras.
The Lousada pincheira is located in the stream from Barxa, a tributary of the Lor river that rises in the serra do Rañadoiro range. Between Lousada (Pedrafita do Cebreiro) and Vilela (Folgoso do Courel) the river forms several low waterfalls.
To get there, we take the LU-651 that goes from O Cebreiro to Seoane do Courel and, after passing Lousada, we will find the pincheira on the right side of the road.
