The building forms one of the sides of the do Toural square. It was built by the municipal architect Manuel Prado y Vallo in 1856. It consists of a ground floor with doors along the whole of the facade, a first floor with balconies and a second floor with a gallery running around it. The building is completed by a third floor, set back from the line of the facade, with openings in the form of small semicircular arches.
