In 1917 J. López de Rego built this structure, which was intended to be the machine room for the "Cooperativa Santiaguesa S.A." power station. The building has a rectangular floor plan, with a tiled two slope roof built on a structure of wood and iron. The walls are constructed from granite masonry, with openings covered by glass reinforced with iron.
