The building was built by Manuel Gómez Román in 1942 for Domingo Davila. An interesting feature is the entrance door, framed by protruding smooth stone edges. These edges cover the whole doorway, and come together above the door to form a rosette, below which is the number of the building. The architect is famous for achieving perfect, and highly artistic, the harmony between the building and the entrance doors, something which was normally left for the carpenter or blacksmith to make.
