The building was built in 1901, by Benito Gómez Román. It has abundant neo-Gothic and neo-Romanic features. The third floor was added based on a project by Jenaro de la Fuente Domínguez, which was signed on 3 May 1910. This addition has the same composition as the rest of the building, but its decoration is more eclectic. The building is interesting for the vertically aligned openings between its smooth pilasters, which divide the facade into five sections around an axis of central symmetry. The most important decorative elements are the cut off pillars with Roman capitals, pointed arches, diamond points, battlements, etc.
