Álvaro Cunqueiro (1911- 1981), writer and one of the must important figures in Galician literature. Some of his must important works include: Merlín e familia (1958), Xente de aquí e acolá (Gente de aquí y de allá, 1964) and Un hombre que se parecía a Orestes (1969), which was awarded the Nadal Prize.
