Description

Collections composed of objects found on excavations carried out in the Galician-Roman settlement of Santa Trega, discovered in 1913, and which cover the Palaeolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic, Late Bronze Age, Castro and Roman periods. We can highlight: The Asturian picks, scrapers, battle axes, zoomorphic carvings, idols, mills, indigenous and Roman ceramics, coins, swastikas, torques, swords, domestic utensils, etc. On the guided visits you can access the partially rebuilt settlement, where there are two similar homes to the ones inhabited by its original settlers. You can also see in the settlement, various collections of petroglyphs from the Bronze Age. Both the settlement and the museum have been declared Historic-Artistic Monuments.
