The archaeological work carried out at No.18, Rúa da Senra, when the building was undergoing restoration, brought to light part of the moat and the foundations of one of the towers that made up the medieval city´s defence system, created by Bishop Sisnando II (+968) and rebuilt and strengthened by Bishop Cresconio (1037-1066).
