mailto:?subject=Content from Tourism of Galicia: FERVENZA DE SANTO ESTEVO DO ERMO&body=I recommend you read the information FERVENZA DE SANTO ESTEVO DO ERMO extracted from the Tourism of Galicia site on page https://www.turismo.gal/recurso/-/detalle/210603000096/fervenza-de-santo-estevo-do-ermo?langId=en_US%26tp=40004330
From San Cosme, in
Barreiros, take the A Insúa road and then the LU-P-6103 road towards the
village of Berreiros. You will see a sign at Km 15 for Santo Estevo do Ermo.
We
recommend you park there and continue on foot for 1,300m on a dirt trail that
leads to the chapel of Santo Estevo. This is a small rectangular building
where, every Easter Monday, a romería procession is held in honour of
the saint. There is an area with benches, tables, and grills next to it where
you can take a breather.
You
next enter a forest of oak, chestnut, and birch trees and walk to the base of
the waterfall, which falls from a height of 15 metres. To the right of the
waterfall some stairs lead to the Fuente de Santa Rosa spring, whose waters are
believed to have healing properties for skin conditions.
