A MIÑA VIAXE
mailto:?subject=Content from Tourism of Galicia: FERVENZA DA CALDEIRA&body=I recommend you read the information FERVENZA DA CALDEIRA extracted from the Tourism of Galicia site on page https://www.turismo.gal/recurso/-/detalle/210609000232/fervenza-da-caldeira?langId=en_US%26tp=40004330
Parish: Xirazga (San Salvador)
Place: Doade
Beariz - Ourense
A Caldeira waterfall is located on the river Doade or Ponto de Anta ravine, a tributary of the river Avia. The latter has its source in the Serra do Suído, near Avión, and flows into the river Miño, near Ribadavia.
In order to see the waterfall we must take the OU-212 road from Doade to Avión until we reach the river beach. We will leave the car there and continue on foot until we reach the bridge. At this point, we have two options: if we cross it and follow the path we will get to the mill, but we will only be able to see the waterfall from the top. The second option is to not cross the bridge and follow a path on the same side of the river. This way we will reach some rocks where the water falls, forming the waterfall. Next to the mill, we will see two small waterfalls first and then the largest waterfall. If we want to get to the foot of the wa-terfall, we can go down the rocks, but with extreme caution because they tend to be wet and very slippery.
