This waterfall is located in the river Búbal, which starts between the towns of San Cristovo de Cea and Vilamarín and flows into the river Miño. To get to the starting point of the route that takes us there, we will take the LU-P-1001 road from Os Peares to A Barrela. After about 2 kilometres we will see a dirt track with signs pointing in the direction of Carcacía which we will follow it until we reach an abandoned quarry. The river runs alongside it and, as there is no bridge, we will have to take our shoes off to cross it. We will start the ascent on the left bank, along a path that is quite hidden by the vegetation and fairly steep; on our way we will come across small waterfalls.

After a steep climb we will reach the top of the highest waterfall. With great care, due to the danger and exposure of the area, we are able to look out and see how the water opens up a small canyon between the rocks and rushes through it, giving rise to a pool. If you want to take photos of the waterfall with the pool you will have to go down the slope, but it is a very risky and technical descent, so if you are not used to this type of manoeuvring it is best not to try it.
