The O Pereiro trail, which leads to these waterfalls, runs along Mount Castrove which is located between Meis and Poio, where there are two important medieval monasteries: the Benedictine monastery of San Xoán de Poio and the Cistercian monastery of Santa María de Armenteira.

Park your car in Pereiro de Abaixo next to the old bridge and continue on foot following the O Pereiro stream, which you will have to cross at several points on small wooden bridges. 

After 475 metres you come to the 7-metre high A Pindilleira waterfall and a little further on lies the A Freixa Alta waterfall, at a height of 10 metres.
