In the municipality of A Estrada we start the route in the vicinity of the Callobre hillfort, an ancient pre-Roman Iron Age settlement. There are two options to get there, depending on whether we want to go to the top of the waterfall or to the foot of it. If we choose the first alternative, we descend along the path on the left, with the river Curantes on the right. We will walk among oaks and pines, and we will find two watermills and several wooden walkways that will facilitate the route to the viewpoint that allows us to see this waterfall of about 7 m in height. If we want to go to the foot of the waterfall, we must choose the path on the right, descending until we find a detour on the left, where a small canal will show us where to continue. When we reach an old watermill, a log will make it easier for us to cross to the other bank to go upstream until we reach the foot of this waterfall. The access is not signposted. We can find the waterfall in the Curantes river, a tributary of the Liñares, which in turn is a tributary of the Ulla river.
