In Hervés (municipality of Carral) we will follow the signpost indicating Costa da Égoa. The access to the waterfall is signposted. The stream of Abelleira or Batán (a tributary of the river Barcés, in turn a tributary of the Mero river) falls down a steep slope in an area where we can find up to fourteen watermills, a small hydroelectric power station and fulling mills that have been converted into an eco-museum. It is part of the hiking route PRG 101- Roteiro Mariñán "Costa da Égoa".
