About 2 km from Paxareiras, from Abelleiras on the DP-5309 road, we leave the car (there is an area suitable for parking) and go down to the river. The first part of the descent is easy, but from a grassy field that we have to cross there is no more path or road. These natural pools can be found in the Rateira stream, which rises in Monte de Paxareiras, near the village of Vistavós. The river flows down encased by granite rocks (one of which, curiously, serves as a bridge).
