Description

Along the geological route of the black beaches—leaving from the Crucero de Teixidelo, in the municipality of Cedeira—we can visit what is considered to be the only non-volcanic black sand beach on the planet and observe the Teixidelo waterfall and fault, a geological structure that runs through a beautiful valley of glacial origin. The access is complicated and not signposted. The stream has a course of approximately 2 km of steep slope. The last section has a drop of 200 m down the cliff, which ends in a drop of about 50 m, before ending its journey on the beach. Most of the year it is not seen due to its low flow.
