Description

From O Carballal we go up the street "Subida ao Pardiñeiro". There we take the Bosque de Coiro path, over which the O Morrazo CG-4.1 motorway passes. We will reach a fork in the road, where we will take the one on the left. We will pass through an area where all the trees have been cut down, giving us a panoramic view of Cangas do Morrazo and the Cíes Islands in the background. The stones along the path take on whimsical shapes, always covered with moss. The mythical Pedrahedra or "Piedra de los Huidos" (Stone of the Fugitives) stands out, a place where the locals hid during the civil war.  We then find the waterfalls, in the Bouzós river, which on its descent passes by some 30 watermills and flows together with the As Presas stream into the beach of Rodeiro, in Cangas. There is a downhill path, which crosses the O Carballal de Coiro Path. Hence, these waterfalls are also known as Coiro waterfalls. The way to reach them is signposted.
