Description

Since 2012, this new space located in a building by the Galician architect César Portela has displayed the contents of the old Museo De Historía Natural “Luis Iglesias”. In the pleasant Vista Alegre Park, visitors can rediscover this museum’s fantastic collections in an amazing and unique staging. We can highlight the terrestrial fauna collections, including birds, mammals and insects of Galicia, the marine fauna collections, one of the largest malacological collections in the world, and the geological collections of rocks and minerals from around the world and from Galicia. It is undoubtedly one of the most attractive museum spaces in the city for public of all ages.
