Fabulous treasures are buried underneath Galicia's dolmens... That is what the legends say and there must be some truth to it, because what we do know is that they are related to important funeral rites.

Dolmens are Neolithic Age constructions formed by large stone slabs. In Galicia, with the abundance of granite rock, dolmens take on a special importance and their creative constructive audacity is surprising.

A good example is the Dombate dolmen, whose 24 meter diameter tumulus makes is worthy of being called "Galicia's Neolithic cathedral". There are other marvels that under no circumstances should be missed: the dolmen of  Axeitos, impressive and well preserved, and those located in the municipality of Muíños, magnificently 4,000 years old.
